Thomas Power knows a thing or two about networking – he is the co-founder of UK based business networking site, Ecademy. What Thomas points out in this video, is that the infiltration of social media into all age groups, and all walks of life, is growing the opportunities for peer to peer networking to collaborate in business.
With a user base of over 1 billion, the ability to collaborate with others in business is a very real possibility. Connecting with strangers and gaining a huge buying power is diminishing the need for resellers or middle men in business trade – ultimately cutting costs and eliminating stock – driving prices down.
Peer-to-peer lending, has emerged as a new way to seek funding or a temporary loan. If everyone on large platforms like Twitter or Facebook were able to do this, the need for large banks or similar establishments could be eradicated.
