The Bahrain government’s continuous investment in the tourism sector is focusing on the Kingdom’s culture, heritage and arts. The Culture & National Heritage sector and the Tourism Affair have been working together with the private sector adding new developments and infrastructure to the cultural, social and economic development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
To support the program, Marriott Executive Apartments Manama introduces the "Bahrain Heritage Package" that will be released from 18 June 2010. The package includes a stay in a luxurious apartment, complimentary breakfast and internet access as well as visiting the Bahrain National Museum in Manama and Qal’at al-Bahrain (Bahrain Fort) in Karbabad.
Through this heritage package, visitors experience the genuine culture and traditions of Bahrain, the small island country in the Persian Gulf, discovering local customs and history of the country by exploring artifact, pieces of ancient arts and heritage sites.
Director of Sales at the Marriott Executive Apartments Manama, Marwan Haddad, said that Marriott International would like to promote Bahrain on a global level as a distinct hub for business as well as cultural activities and diversity. He expects that by booking the package, visitors to Bahrain will have more valuable experience and understanding of the local culture.
"This is our contribution to support the Bahrain government initiative to grow tourism industry through cultural initiatives and projects in the island," said Marwan.
"Bahrain has rich cultures and traditions. We would like to promote this asset to our guests and residents and create a product that can enhance the awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage," added Marwan.
