Single holiday specialist Solo’s Holidays has become the twentieth travel partner to sign up as a preferred partner with Silver Travel Advisor, the fastest growing travel review and advice site specifically for travellers aged 50 years and older. The website launched in February 2011 and has already grown organically to a membership of over 3,500 older travellers, who have between them posted over 700 travel and holiday reviews at silvertraveladvisor.com.
Other Silver Travel Advisor travel partners include Journeys of Distinction, Holland America, Viking River Cruises, Kirker Holidays and Cox and Kings.
MD Debbie Marshall, formerly MD for CV Travel, Thomson and Crystal Ski, said “These are real landmarks and show how much of a demand there is from mature travellers for their own travel web forum. Our members have specific interests and needs which can be met by the carefully selected travel partners that we work with.
It also demonstrates the need for a marketing platform for tour operators whose clientele typically are drawn from the over 50’s age group.
The site’s travel reviews range from day trips in the UK to trekking in Nepal and all of the posts are carefully read and vetted by our team, before publishing online, to ensure that they are genuine and express the opinions of an older traveller.
