Grand Bahama celebration to end Caribbean Supercharged Service Training.

Interval International operates membership programs for vacationers and provides value-added services to its developer clients worldwide.

FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA – Five days of intense Team Service & Management/Supervisory Critical Thinking, Communication & Complaint Handling training, culminated in a joyful, laughter-filled celebration at the Pelican Bay Hotel, the local sponsor and venue for the final CHTA Education Foundation activity of 2023.

Prof. Mike Hampton, Trustee of the CHTA Education Foundation gave energetic congratulations to each participant and commented “I’m hearing about the laughter, the lively discussions, the knowledge of hospitality our trainers, Louise & Suzanne, have at the tip of their fingers; and of the role-plays, analysis and games you loved. It sure seems to have been a tremendous week and unanimously well received.” Hampton encouraged participants to seek further development opportunities academically or on technical short courses and apply for Education Foundation Scholarships, as ”continuous professional development is a great investment of your time.”

Interval International, the Education Foundation’s long-standing sponsor, was represented by Kasey Lohn, Business Development Manager, who commented “Every team member I have met at our partner property, Taino Bay Clubs, has been inspired and delighted by the dynamic Caribbean Supercharged Service training and told me they are already putting learning-in-action day to day. Listening to other participants here, Interval is delighted to again have supported extraordinary soft skills training from the Education Foundation that will positively impact our members, all guests and the overall warmth and proficiency of the Grand Bahama welcome and service.”

Leroy Darling, Lead Houseman at Pelican Bay Hotel, spoke on behalf of participants “I really enjoyed every minute of my workshop and understand how Critical Thinking impacts my team to deliver more consistently and correctly. I can say, and it’s likely the same for many of us, everything I learned in the workshop will stay with me through my life.” He also encouraged his fellow participants with a quote to remember how important their actions are each day “Your future self, is depending on your current self, to fulfill the promises you made to your past self.”

Ian Rolle, Executive Committee Member, Bahamas Hotel & Tourism Association (BHTA), delivered Congratulations from President Robert Sands, VP Suzanne Pattusch and the Board of Directors and encouraged everyone to stay focused on delivering what they had learned during the week. “The BHTA is very grateful to the CHTA Education Foundation for delivering such dynamic, targeted training in Grand Bahama, and we thank Interval International for their enduring presence in the Bahamas.”

Suzanne Shillingford-Brooks, trainer, commented “Our Caribbean Supercharged Service series of on-island workshops deliver Caribbean warmth, smart operational skills, suggested solutions to participant challenges, and clear understanding to every participant of international service expectations, with a unique Caribbean vibe ~ it’s a win-win!”
