Airport check-ins problem

Airport check-ins were cited as a major problem to be alleviated, at the recent convention of the Association of British Travel Agents, ABTA<.>, held in Australia. The worsening situation was described by one tour operator as a `black hole problem`.

It was also reported that some 30% of travelers surveyed indicated that they would be prepared to pay for faster service.
