ICCA’s new Strategic Plan is in its inaugural year, and one of its key goals is to bring international associations more intimately into ICCA’s global community for the international association meetings industry.

Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, Monaco Convention Bureau and Tourism New Zealand sign up as new ICCA Association Relations Partners.

ICCA's new Strategic Plan is in its inaugural year, and one of its key goals is to bring international associations more intimately into ICCA’s global community for the international association meetings industry.

The newly launched Association Relations Partnership is a collaborative programme designed to help ICCA deliver an ambitious programme of new activities and online services that will strengthen its relationship with international associations, including hosting some of their top executives and meeting directors at the annual ICCA Congress, which will take place 13-16 November 2016 in Kuching, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo.  At the same time, this partnership model allows ICCA tradeshow and destination marketing members in all regions worldwide to strengthen their own ties and increase their profile with the international association community.

FIEXPO had already signed up as regional Association Relations Partner for Latin America at ibtm world 2015.

Ms. Vichaya Soonthornsaratoon, Director of Conventions Department, Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) says: “TCEB is proud to be ICCA ARP partner. We believe in ICCA’s professionalism and trust that this new initiative will bring us closer to international associations.”

Laurence Papouchado, Deputy Director of the Monaco Convention Bureau says: “Monaco is delighed to work closer with ICCA in trying to bring more associations to ICCA events.”

Lisa Gardiner, Manager Business Events and Premium Tourism New Zealand says “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with ICCA. Tourism New Zealand is seeing significant growth in businesses choosing our country as a destination and this new opportunity will help us to continue to build on that growth. We look forward to working even more closely with ICCA and their global community over the coming months.”

ICCA CEO Martin Sirk says: “We are delighted that Thailand, Monaco and New Zealand have decided to position themselves in the association meetings community as forerunners and supporters of our new strategic efforts and welcome these ICCA members as new Association Relations Partners.”
