Dutchman Lex Granaada (56) has been elected President of the Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE) per January 1st. This association for incentive travel and improvement has over 2000 members from over 82 countries globally. SITE organises informative seminars and informs travel executives of airlines, hotel chains, incentive organisers, DMC’s and tourist organisations. SITE members realise a common turnover of over 6 billion dollar a year.
Lex Granaada has been part of the international board of SITE since 1999 and has now taken over the position of the American Bill Boyd. Granaada started his career with Arke Reizen, then started My Way (Jong is Reizen) and in 1990 he founded the incentive marketing company Granaada & Partner. Recently this company took over Euro World, an incoming special interest tour operator serving mainly the North American market. He is a regular lecturer at seminars all over the world concerning incentive marketing.
Together with the European members of the international SITE board he is one of the driving forces behind the European SITE Network and Educational Program (ESNEP) that took place every year since 2002 in resp. Malta, Budapest, Zagreb and Amman. This year Dubai will be hosting the event for ESNEP from 19 – 21 April.
Granaada, as President of SITE, will focus on the Young Leaders Program, which brings the attention to the future leaders of the incentive world. The three strategic elements that SITE focuses on are to create awareness of SITE, the overall value of membership and to improve business to business opportunities.
