Delegates attending the Forum for Parliaments and Local Authorites, that took place in Panama City from 27 – 28 November, concluded their deliberations with a strong condemnation of the terrorist attack on tourism in Mombassa, Kenya.
The 330 delegates from 42 countries unanimously supported a resolution condemning the evil and cowardly killing of innocent visitors in Mombassa. Tourism, the Forum concluded, makes an important contribution to job creation, poverty alleviation, sustainable development, mutual understanding, tolerance and peace.
Act of mad and senseless killings, as those perpetrated by the terrorism in Mombassa, is a sing against humanity and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms, the resolution reads.
