The Regional Chapter Chair and Vice-Chairs work with UFI to deliver events, education, research, and advocacy for the members in their respective regions.
PARIS – UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, announced the election results for leadership in its four Regional Chapters around the world as well as its Associations’ Committee. The elected industry leaders will begin their three-year mandate at the 90th UFI Global Congress, taking place this 1-4 November 2023, in Las Vegas, USA.
The future Regional Chapter Chairs are:
- For Asia-Pacific: Panittha Buri (BITEC/BHIRAJ BURI Group, Thailand)
- For Europe: David Boon (Brussels Expo, Belgium)
- For Americas: Raul Strauss Justiniano (FEXPOCRUZ, Bolivia)
- For Middle East & Africa: Said Salim Al Shanfari (OCEC, Oman)
The Vice-Chairs for each chapter will be:
For Asia-Pacific:
- Rita Chu, 1st Vice-Chair (Adsale Exhibition Services, Hong Kong)
- Diane Chen (Shenyang New World EXPO, China)
- Jaewon Lyu (KINTEX, Korea)
For Europe:
- Antonio Bruzzone, 1st Vice-Chair (BolognaFiere, Italy)
- Lisa Hannant (Clarion Events, United Kingdom)
- Mahmut Er (IPEKYOLU International Exhibitions, Türkiye)
For Americas:
- José Navarro Meneses, 1st Vice-Chair (Tarsus Mexico, Mexico)
- Mauricio Macedo (Fiera Milano Brasil, Brazil)
- Victor Hugo Zapata Madrigal (Plaza Mayor Medellín, Colombia)
For Middle East & Africa:
- Michael Michael – 1st Vice-Chair (DECC/QBEC, Qatar)
- Trixie Lohmirmand (Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates)
- Mohammed Al Hussaini (Riyadh Exhibitions Company, Saudi Arabia)
The Regional Chapter Chair and Vice-Chairs work with UFI to deliver events, education, research, and advocacy for the members in their respective regions. The Chapter Chairs also represent their respective chapters in both the UFI Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.
Elected as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Associations’ Committee are:
- Chair: Jörn Holtmeier (AUMA, Germany)
- Vice-Chair: Synthia Chan (Macau Fair & Trade Association, Macau)
The main objective of the Associations’ Committee is to deal with matters of interest for national and international associations of the exhibition industry (information on national exhibition markets, worldwide promotion of the trade fair media, global statistical overview of the tradeshow industry, etc.).
