Air Serbia started flights to Porto

Air Serbia

In addition to Lisbon and Porto, Serbia’s national airline has added over 20 new cities to its network in 2023. An extremely popular new destination is Chicago, Air Serbia’s third long-haul destination and its second destination in North America.

On 10 November 2023, Air Serbia started its direct service between Belgrade and Porto with flight JU566. Serbia’s national airline will operate flights to Portugal’s second-biggest city two times a week, on Mondays and Fridays, throughout the year.

“For the first time in Air Serbia’s history, we have launched services to Porto. After Lisbon, this is Air Serbia’s second destination in Portugal. Porto and Belgrade are approximately 2,400 kilometres apart, and our Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft fly this distance in a little under three and a half hours. We are certain this will be one of our most popular destinations in Europe and that passengers will enjoy this beautiful city as much as they will enjoy the flight there,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.

Porto is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Europe. It offers a wide range of possibilities for enjoyment. During your stay in Porto, you will have the opportunity to get to know the city’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, enjoy the ambience of colourful houses and castles, spend time on the beach or walking along the seashore, and try fish specialties in one of the city’s restaurants. A special experience is getting to know the city from the Douro River, which is adorned by as many as six bridges.

By introducing direct flights to Porto, located in the north of Portugal, Air Serbia will offer good connectivity via Belgrade to many cities in its network, like Athens, Budapest, Copenhagen, Ankara, Istanbul, Larnaca, Ljubljana, Oslo, Bucharest, Prague, Thessaloniki, Skopje, Sofia, Podgorica, Vienna, Zagreb, etc.
