Avianca to offer 1.4m. seats on more than 3,900 flights during Holy Week

The number of seats for this holiday season has increased by 26%, compared with Easter Week 2023.

MIAMI – From Friday, March 22 to Monday, April 1, Avianca Airlines will offer more than 1.4 million seats on over 3,900 flights to 75 destinations across America and Europe, corresponding with the Easter holiday season.
“Compared to last year’s Easter season, we’ve boosted available seat capacity by nearly 26%,” said Rolando Damas, avianca’s sales director for North America, Central America and The Caribbean. “Likewise, we’ve also increased the frequency of flights by 23%, compared with 2023. These strides align closely with avianca’s mission of facilitating safe, punctual and hassle-free air travel, reflecting our commitment to ensuring passengers reach their destinations with ease.”
Among the preferred destinations for this season, standouts include Pereira, Cúcuta and Barranquilla in Colombia; Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Washington, D.C. in North America; El Salvador, Guatemala and Costa Rica in Central America; Aruba and Curacao in the Caribbean; Quito and Galapagos in Ecuador; Rio de Janeiro in Brazil; and London in Europe.
Avianca recommends its travelers to consider the following tips during Holy Week:
  • Digital Channels: Manage your reservation through our app, and check your luggage at the airport kiosks.
  • Self-service: Use the automatic, self-service machines at the airport for baggage check-in.
  • Flight Status: Stay informed about your flight status and details, either through the Avianca app or via Avianca.com.
  • Arrival: Arrive at least three hours before the flight departure time.
  • Requirements in order: Make sure to have all the necessary documentation ready according to each destination’s travel requirements.
