The Mexico Tourism Board has developed an initiative which allows on-line promotion of all of the services that Mexico offers to the conventions industry throughout the world.
Through this service, information can be exchanged and business deals can be made between convention organisers and service providers (e.g. hotels and convention centres) can be done automatically through www.visitmexico.com.
`Conventions on-line` offers convention organisers the chance to consult with all the available services and installations in Mexico, making information exchange between service dealers and buyers easier and in turn improve the control over business turnover generated by this sector.
To use the system, conventions organisers must log onto www.visitmexico.com; register an ID and a password; go to the Congress and Conventions section; search for what they`re looking for; select, consult and compare the available options and finally fill in an on-line proposal form. This form is sent to the service dealer through an e-mail, which is also received by the appropriate Congress and Conventions Office (CCO) or the Conventions and Visitors Office (CVO). The process finishes when the service provider accepts the proposal by sending an e-mail to the client with a copy for the CCO or the CVO.
This management tool has a registration module which allows the creation of a database with all potential clients and service providers. There are three areas available to search: providers, promotions and areas; tools to personalise the search by state, city, number of rooms, space requirements, etc…; and a comparative tool that allows the analysis of up to eight offers at the same time.
This flexible and easy-to-use method makes organising congresses and conventions in Mexico easier. The system is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week, allowing service to potential clients around the world in every market.

All service providers and areas belonging to this sector will be able to register by logging in their name, address, phone number, fax, e-mail, contacts and the main characteristics of their business.
