The flights will operate until 24 October 2024.

April 4 was the launch of direct flights between Tallinn and Paris by the low-cost airline Transavia France, which forms part of the Air France-KLM Group. The route will be served twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, from Paris Orly Airport.

The Tallinn-Paris route is now served by two airlines, meaning more frequent connections between the Estonian and French capitals. Eero Pärgmäe, a member of the management board of AS Tallinna Lennujaam, says the addition of Transavia on the Paris route will enable passengers to more conveniently plan their travels. “Spring and summer are the most popular times to visit European cities, which is why we’re so delighted to be working with Transavia to offer even more opportunities to visit the amazing metropolis that is Paris,” he said. “The fact the airline has launched flights ahead of the Olympics gives everyone interested more flexibility in visiting the city during the Games.”

Both Tallinn Airport and Transavia France hope the new route also piques the interest of travellers in the French capital. Nicolas Hénin, the carrier’s Chief Commercial Officer, says the airline is very pleased to be taking its first steps in Estonia. “This new route will offer our Parisian customers the chance to discover Tallinn,” he noted. “We’re also looking forward to welcoming our first Estonian customers wishing to visit Paris. They’ll benefit from a low-cost, high-quality service to France.”

The low-cost airline of the Air France-KLM Group, Transavia operates more than 200 routes with departures from France, the Netherlands and Belgium to Europe and the Mediterranean. Transavia France is currently the low-cost airline serving the highest number of passengers in Paris: almost 10.7 million in 2022. In France alone the carrier employs more than 2,300 workers.
