Top 10 easy hacks for staying healthy on vacation
Here's a list of the best health hacks you could use on vacation. Follow along, and I’m sure there's something you'll find here for yourself.

Hack #1: Fruits and vegetables
The key to staying healthy is good nutrition. And there's no better source of that than fruits and vegetables. Whether it's the Maldives or the streets of Turkey, you can get your hands on them in any market, and they're easy to carry around as well.

But we do understand that keeping a healthy diet is the hardest part of traveling around. So who could say no to the delicious Indian Curry and eat a salad? Half the experience is the food, after all. Having said that, just make fruits and vegetables a part of your diet on vacation, and you will be good to go.

Hack #2: Portable water filters
What's the most important thing you'll need while traveling? Your passport? Some cash? Well, the correct answer to that is clean drinking water. You're getting nowhere if you end up being dehydrated or catching Typhoid.

Finding clean water can be a problem if you're out camping. Even water on the plane is known for having bacteria in it. So you're only left with the choice of spending money on bottled water at the airport. Let's be real here. Finances are typically tight whenever you're traveling. So the last thing you need is to spend your limited resources on unnecessary expenditures.

We recommend you use Clearly Filtered water bottles. They'll remove most contaminants, and are incredibly durable.

Portable water filters are not limited to bottles. There are other types of filters too but filter water bottles are your best bet while traveling.

Hack #3: Moisturize
Skincare essentially goes ignored while traveling. The best way to keep your skin healthy is to use moisturizers and cleansers.

Your priority is traveling light, and we understand you can't carry a bottle of moisturizer on a trip. But most of your favorite products come in travel-size packaging. Even so, you can make your DIY packets for carrying the moisturizers around. For example, miniature sauce jars are light and take up very little space.

Hack #4: Spend your days out in the sun
On any typical day, we're cramped up in our offices trying to get work done. Plus, with the pandemic at large, even our time off is spent indoors. This has made us lazy and low on energy.

The best thing you could do for your body on vacation is going out in the sun. Get the vitamin D you need, and you'll feel fresh and energetic.

Hack #5: Carry sanitizers
If we haven't stressed it enough, then hear this out. Germs and disease are a massive challenge for backpackers. There are more transmittable diseases than you can keep track of. The biggest one these days being COVID-19.

The best way to ensure your safety is by carrying a sanitizer or anti-bacterial wipes.

Hack #6: Take a walk or go for a run
The best way to explore and go sightseeing is on foot. Of course, you could hire a car or try local transport. But you'll feel the true essence of a place by walking in its streets.

Plus, you'll stay active this way. So it's great for both your health and your trip.

Hack #7: Keep yourself dry and warm
Being cold and wet is both uncomfortable and will probably result in you catching a cold. Have you ever heard of hypothermia? It's not pleasant.

We recommend you carry an umbrella, a raincoat, a warm jacket, and a sleeping bag while traveling – especially to rainy places.

Hack #8: Get some sleep
Good rest will go a long way. You won't enjoy your experience if you're tired. Plus, there's only so much your body can take.

Sleep is how your body heals. So make sure you're well-rested to stay healthy and energetic on your trip.

Hack #9: No electronics
The whole point of a vacation is to let out some steam and grow out of your routine. Sitting indoors watching TV or using your phone is just the opposite of that.

Let your electronics go for a while.

Hack #10: Meet new people
Humans are social animals and crave each other's company. You'll be surprised at how therapeutic meeting new people and sharing experiences is.

Take this chance to meet people from different cultures and form new connections.

Have a great holiday!
With that being said, you shouldn't compromise on your health wherever you are. The only way you'll enjoy your vacation is if you're healthy. So take note of the tips and tricks we've mentioned above and you'll stay as healthy as a horse.

We hope you have a great holiday!
