22% deliberately paid more for a flight knowing Wi-Fi would be available.

A recent survey, commissioned by Icelandair, of American adults who have used Wi-Fi at least once in the last 12 months, revealed:

  • 66% are influenced by Wi-Fi availability when booking flights
  • 22% deliberately paid more for a flight knowing Wi-Fi would be available
  • 45% of people are willing to go through TSA security twice in exchange for more reliable in-flight Wi-Fi.
