Over the last few years, FITUR Congresos has established its position as an excellent forum for Spanish supply and international demand within the congress and meetings market. This is confirmed by the figures recorded at the previous edition: 152 Spanish sellers and 180 international buyers, among which over 4,000 appointments were organized.
This workshop has proven to be a successful formula, bringing together the most important members of supply and demand through a series of pre-established appointments within an industry that is currently witnessing considerable growth, especially in Spain. Over and above the business opportunities that arise from these appointments, FITUR Congresos is able to present the opportunities that Spain offers within this field through its exhibition area. This presentation also encompasses the various Spanish regions.
The Spanish regions play a prominent role in designing the various pre-tour programmes that, on the weekend prior to the staging of FITUR Congresos, offer a first-hand perspective to those foreign professionals who wish to participate, featuring some of the best Spanish congress destinations.
This event will once again be promoted by Turespana, the body that is responsible for selecting the foreign buyers. Along with Iberia, the Official Air Transport Company, FITUR Congresos also enjoys the collaboration of the Tourist Department of the Madrid Region, the Madrid Convention Bureau – Municipal Tourist Board of Madrid, the Spain Convention Bureau, Turmadrid, Trapsa/Travelbus and the Madrid Hotel Business Association, AEHM.
This workshop of international scope is organized strictly for the trade and is aimed at travel agencies, incentive companies, convention centres and congress centres, conventions bureaux, hotels, professional congress organizers (PCOs), official bodies, tourist boards, transport companies and service-providers and suppliers of complementary services.
