Barcelona’s Hotel H1898 renovates its banquet halls, turning them into unique and exclusive spaces with colonial charm

The Manila and Philippines banquet halls now feature modern decor, gorgeous lighting, and the most advanced in audio-visual equipment.

BARCELONA – Hotel H1898 of Barcelona, member of the NN Hotels Group, has undergone a total renovation of its banquet halls and conference rooms, with respect to both infrastructure and decor.

The new halls – which go by the names Manila and Philippines – pay homage the hotel’s colonial past, tipping a hat to when the building served as headquarters of the Philippines Tobacco Company. With the most versatile of decor and accommodating of services, these spaces are ideal for hosting events of all kinds, from business meetings to training workshops and symposia, to banquets and family occasions.

Both rooms now feature light and airy decor, with white lacquered wood moldings, cream-colored walls, and wall-to-wall carpet that give the space a particularly roomy feel. The result is an atmosphere that is at once modern, harmonious, and warm. In addition, both spaces now feature new LED lighting systems, large panoramic screen (the Manila room actually has three), wireless projection equipment, and a new sound system.

Ten years after first opening its doors, the hotel is more lively than ever, thanks to a process of constant adaptation to changing times, and non-stop improvement of services, without ever losing its unique essence and identity. H1898 is located in one of the city’s most distinctive buildings along the worldrenowned Ramblas, one of Barcelona’s most emblematic and culturally vibrant areas.
