CYCAS marks its French debut with dual-branded Hyatt hotel opening

Cycas defies the downturn with 10 new hotel openings, 1,975 rooms and 6 new brands planned across Europe over the next 6 months, starting in Paris.

Cycas Hospitality continues its expansion across Europe with the opening of the first Hyatt Place and Hyatt House branded hotels in France.

The dual-branded property, located close to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris Nord 2 International Business Park, represents the introduction of Hyatt’s select service brands to France and the global brand’s first dual-branded project in mainland Europe. The Hyatt House hotel also becomes the area’s first extended-stay accommodation offering.

The combination of the 309-room Hyatt Place Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport hotel under the same roof as the 121-suite Hyatt House Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport will ensure corporate and leisure guests can choose the space that best fits their travel needs while taking advantage of both hotels’ facilities. The five-storey development incorporates an indoor pool, gym, extensive 24-hour dining offerings and 450m² of high-tech meeting and event space

Over the last year Cycas has bolstered its in-country team of operational and commercial experts in preparation for this landmark opening, and already has a further three French hotels in development across Paris and Rouen, working with both Hyatt and Marriott International.

Matt Luscombe, Chief Executive Officer of Cycas Hospitality, said: “Cycas has worked hard to bring our distinctive hotel management style to France and to build an exceptional leadership team here in Paris to open these hotels and drive our further expansion. At a time when the hospitality industry is desperately in need of good news, today is an extra special occasion.”

“With this double-decker hotel close to Europe’s second largest airport and one of the Ile-de-France’s busiest gateways, I can’t think of a better place to open Cycas’s first two hotels in France. And, having built an exceptional leadership team here in Paris to lead these properties and drive further expansion, we’re well placed to kickstart a dynamic six months of openings for us across Europe.”

Cycas Hospitality is on course to open ten new hotels (1,975 rooms) across five European countries and welcome six new brands to its portfolio between October 2020 and March 2021.
