Jack Benton brings nearly 10 years of industry experience to the position.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Jack Benton has been named as the new director of sales at the 188-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown, which is tentatively scheduled to open winter 2023. Benton will lead all strategic sales and marketing endeavors while supporting the hotel’s mission to provide outstanding service to guests. Located at 192 Haywood St., the hotel is owned and managed by Parks Hospitality Group.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown brings more than 7,000 square feet of new event space to the downtown market, making it a premier destination for weddings, events and meetings. The flexible, first-floor meeting and event space for weddings, board meetings and much more, including: a 4,704 square foot Blue Ridge Ballroom with space for up to 500 people and airwalls to divide the space into four different rooms, in addition to its pre-function space; a 1,232 square foot French Broad Conference Center with space for up to 130 people and three layout configurations; a Board Room with space for up to 10 people; plus, additional meeting and event space at two onsite restaurants, including E’Terie, a lobby-level restaurant and bar, and Soprana, an Italian brick oven pizza rooftop restaurant.
Currently, Benton is the director of sales and marketing for DoubleTree Asheville Downtown, a position he has held since June 2018. He will maintain oversight of this property, as well as the new Embassy Suites. Benton has also held positions at three additional Hilton properties with Parks Hospitality Group, and prior to that, two additional sales positions at Four Points Raleigh and Sheraton Raleigh Hotel with PM Hotel Group.
Ahead of its opening, Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown is donating $500 to one of its partner organizations for every $10,000 spent by any group in 2024. Beyond incredible views, Asheville’s beauty shines through its people – the ranchers, farmers, purveyors, gardeners and artists – and Embassy Suites by Hilton Asheville Downtown’s partnerships with its local community are vital. These partner organizations include Equal Plates Project, Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, Asap, Westwern North Carolina Nature Center, Root Cause Farm, The Utopian Seed Project, The North Carolina Arboretum and Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. This promotion is available to all groups contracted by March 31, 2024.
