Fraser Suites Hanoi opens in Vietnam

Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd stepped up the pace of its expansion with the grand opening of its first property in Vietnam, Fraser Suites Hanoi. The 170-unit Fraser Suites Hanoi is located in the prestigious, central Westlake district with views across the city to the lake and Red River from the top floors of the 25-storey building. Designed to reflect the cultural and historical flavour of Vietnam, Fraser Suites Hanoi is located on floors 6-25 and comprises one, two and three bedroom residences in single storey or duplex configurations. The sizable rooms showcase the expanse of the Westlake district and the picturesque lake in front of the property.

Comprehensive facilities include a resort-style swimming pool for a cool retreat; gymnasium, restaurant and an indoor/outdoor play area for children which leads onto the sweeping gardens surrounding the Syrena Tower complex. Guests in the meeting rooms can enjoy the calming view of the verdant gardens.

The interconnected Syrena shopping centre offers a distinctive mix of niche interior design shops as well as a supermarket and a restaurant. Mr. Lee Hsien Yang, Chairman of Frasers’ parent company Fraser and Neave, Ltd, was the Guest-of-Honour at the opening event, which was also attended by Mr. Lim Ee Seng, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Centrepoint, and Vietnam’s top business leaders and senior government personnel.

“The opening of Fraser Suites Hanoi marks an important milestone in our foray into the service apartment market in Vietnam,” commented Mr. Lim, “Frasers Hospitality will continue to grow our brand and reinforce our value proposition.” “With Fraser Suites Hanoi, we are again trying to stay ahead of the curve, both in terms of the elegant, plush interiors that personify the Fraser Suites brand, and also our Gold – Standard service levels” said Mr. Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality.

“Our goal is to keep innovating, improving and evolving, and I can confidently say that I am delighted with both the hardware and software at Fraser Suites Hanoi,” he added. With the opening today of Fraser Suites Hanoi, the company has expanded its global footprint across Europe, North Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Australia to include more than 4,800 individual apartments in its current portfolio. And, with another 3,000 apartments already on the drawing board, Frasers is on course to manage more than 8,000 units by the end of 2010.

The grand opening in Hanoi follows hot-on-the-heels of the launch of the company’s second brand – Modena in Tianjin, China – on July 16, together with the news that four more Modena properties were on the drawing board and timed to open within the next three years. On July 8, the company opened the 50-unit, all-loft, modern chic Fraser Place Fusionopolis at Singapore’s new lifestyle hub at one-north. Worldwide this year, another four properties have opened with the Frasers marque – in the United Kingdom, Thailand, China and Bahrain.
