Hello Glasgow! The Social Hub opens its doors introducing its unique, hybrid hospitality concept to the UK for the first time

The Social Hub Glasgow

Other hubs are located in some of Europe’s most vibrant cities including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Florence, Madrid, Vienna and most recently – San Sebastián which was inaugurated earlier this year.

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND – The Social Hub opens its doors in Glasgow tomorrow, 12th April. As this unique hybrid hospitality concept continues to expand across Europe, Glasgow marks the brand’s first UK location to welcome it’s diverse community of travellers, students, business people, neighbours and more in this brand new, £90 million, development.

Employing more than 80 locals, Glasgow represents the 18th hub to open for the Amsterdam-based company, which was founded in 2012 by Edinburgh-born entrepreneur Charlie MacGregor.

The Social Hub Glasgow

Located in the vibrant and stylish Merchant City District, The Social Hub Glasgow features a combination of 494 hotel, student and extended stay rooms and spaces where a diverse community can come to learn, stay, work and play. With room for up to 222 co-workers daily, The Social Hub Glasgow offers everything from flexible memberships and dedicated desks, through to 20 private offices, dynamic meeting and event spaces, together with an auditorium, a gym, restaurant and bar alongside a bustling schedule of curated purpose-driven events, workshops and social moments.

The Social Hub believes a better society is created when people with vision and talent come together from all walks of life. The organisation works towards achieving this social impact objective and generating concrete value to the communities in which it operates by designing unique spaces that foster community building, coupled by an unparalleled programme of community experiences, and an ongoing commitment to monitoring the impact of its business operations.

Working with complementary local partners

The Social Hub Glasgow is launching with a carefully curated selection of like-minded local partners.
