Hotelogix partners with TripAdvisor to offer review express top hoteliers

For independent hoteliers, guest reviews are of vital importance to the continuing success of the property, helping prospective guests make buying decisions, based on experiences from those who have previously stayed at the hotel.

Cloud-based property management system Hotelogix.com announces a partnership with TripAdvisor to integrate Review Express, TripAdvisor’s review collection solution, directly into its offering.

Hotelogix is an online distribution solution used by small and mid-sized hotels and hospitality businesses in 85+ countries. Review Express will be provided as an automated option for hotel customers.

For independent hoteliers, guest reviews are of vital importance to the continuing success of the property, helping prospective guests make buying decisions, based on experiences from those who have previously stayed at the hotel.

“In today’s industry, reviews are one of the most important tools for independent hoteliers’ success,” explains Aditya Sanghi, Hotelogix co-Founder and CEO.

Sanghi continues: “We are proud to partner with TripAdvisor for such a relevant initiative.”

Review Express is TripAdvisor’s review collection tool that allows hotels to easily connect with guests after their stay, to encourage fresh reviews. Using Review Express, hoteliers can create and customise emails to guests, generating more reviews, and gaining valuable insights about their stay. Hoteliers can then monitor their reviews and take actions based on the feedback their guests provide.

With Hotelogix, hoteliers can now enjoy fully integrated review collection capabilities as part of their Property Management System (PMS). Review Express is included in all Hotelogix plans, and is now a component of Hotelogix’s Freemium plan as well. The Freemium plan eases the hotelier’s decision-making process by letting them experience the solution at no cost. With Hotelogix, any reviews published on TripAdvisor as a result of a Review Express campaign are also displayed in the PMS. Hoteliers can then address any issues raised by guests in a timely manner and respond to the review on TripAdvisor.

“After using Review Express with the Hotelogix PMS, we have experienced an increase in our TripAdvisor page views and reviews. We are able to easily monitor the reviews and analyse these to improve our ranking on TripAdvisor,” explains Ian Jackson, general manager of Southcliff Hotel in Kent.

“Almost 60,000 hotel and bed & breakfast owners have already made Review Express part of their post-stay communication program for customers – now, we have created a faster solution for time-pressed accommodation owners through this new integration,” said Minesh Shah, Senior Director, Global Hotel Partnerships, TripAdvisor.

Encouraging reviews in a programmatic way helps hotels collect more feedback and online content – Review Express users see an average 33 percent uplift in their number of reviews on TripAdvisor.

“According to a recent study, 70 percent of hospitality business owners say they have taken steps to improve their quality of service as a result of TripAdvisor reviews. By making Review Express available as an automatic solution, we’re helping hotels systematically encourage their guests to share feedback and, in turn, use that feedback to help inform continued improvements to service – a winning formula for a good online reputation,” continued Shah.

This partnership is in line with Hotelogix’s vision to maximize the potential of independent hoteliers by collaborating with key industry leaders and creating innovative platforms that are conducive to the success of small and mid-sized properties.
