Hurricane Sally Marriott rebuild opens on Pensacola Beach

Soaring 11 floors, the 209-room beachfront property features modern structural and design elements like structural pilings going down over seven stories making the hotel almost as tall underground as above.

As of June 30th, Pensacola Beach visitors are flocking to Marriott’s brand-new Fairfield Inn & Suites Pensacola Beach property. Following the destruction from major storm Hurricane Sally in 2020, the property marks one of the final pieces of the recovery for Pensacola Beach. In fact, the hotel was on pace to break a Marriott record for the highest number of pre-opening rooms booked for a Fairfield Inn.

Soaring 11 floors, the 209-room beachfront property features modern structural and design elements like structural pilings going down over seven stories making the hotel almost as tall underground as above. The stunning second-story lobby also ensures a more symbiotic relationship with mother nature should another major storm come. Just steps away from the white sands of Pensacola Beach, guests will also enjoy a beautiful sky-blue color palate indoors that blurs the lines between ocean and sky, layered over a sandy white that pulls the beach closer to the property. Additionally, windows in the rooms can withstand hurricane category 5 winds.

Among the new Fairfield Inn & Suites Pensacola Beach’s highlights:

  • The Gulf Coast’s Largest Lazy River: At 315 feet long and holding 60,000 gallons of water, the lazy river meanders past three waterfalls, a skyline of palm trees, a hot tub, and a zero-entry pool, giving rafters a long, memorable ride.
  • State-of-the-Art Fitness Center: A spacious 800-square-foot modern facility with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking views of the Santa Rosa Sound with workout equipment from top performance brands.
  • Modern Upgrades for Comfort and Convenience: High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and central AC provides quiet, efficient, and healthy air circulation in guest rooms and public areas

There’s no shortage of affordable, kid-friendly dining options with the reopening of Fish Heads Pool Bar & Grille – a local favorite with sweeping coastal views. You’ll also be within walking distance of Red Fish Blue Fish – voted best Seafood in Pensacola and the best backyard on the beach (pet-friendly) and Water Pig BBQ, recently voted #4 Best New Restaurant in America and Best BBQ on the Gulf Coast.
