Hyatt Place Portland – Old Port completes major renovation

The hotel opened in May 2014 in downtown Portland amidst the vibrant waterfront entertainment district, more popularly known as the Old Port.

PORTLAND, MAINE – The 130-room Hyatt Place Portland – Old Port located at 433 Fore Street has completed a major renovation in its guest rooms and public spaces.  

The hotel opened in May 2014 in downtown Portland amidst the vibrant waterfront entertainment district, more popularly known as the Old Port. The scope of the one million dollar renovation included the addition of an advanced soundproofing system to all exterior walls and the addition of recording studio quality soundproof glass to guest room windows.

"We feel our newly renovated guest rooms will offer our guests the quiet and comfortable night sleep they have come to expect from the Hyatt Place brand," General Manager Alen Saric said.

Revamped for a quieter stay, the hotel features 7 premium suites with balconies overlooking Casco Bay and 1,050 square feet of meeting room facilities. The Hyatt Place Portland – Old Port enhances corporate and leisure travelers' experience by providing a unique, modern style above the vibrant city life of the surrounding historic district.

Hotel guest rooms feature the Hyatt Grand Bed, Cozy Corner sleeper sofa, 42" High Definition televisions, refrigerators, and complimentary WiFi internet.

Other service include complimentary shuttle service to the Portland Jetport and Portland Transportation centers, complimentary hot Hyatt Gallery Breakfast, catering for corporate and social meetings, indoor pool and 24/7 Fitness Center. 

The Hyatt Place Portland – Old Port features the two hotel bars, the Hyatt Gallery Bar and the popular GLASS Lounge.  GLASS Lounge features unique craft cocktails inspired by period era movies.
