InterContinental Hotels Group, was recently honored as the “Best Hotel Company” in Latin America by Global Finance magazine.
InterContinental Hotels Group whose brands include InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites, and Candlewood Suites has been expanding its portfolio in the region, while renovating older properties and adding new business and personal services to cater to Latin America`s travelers.
Global Finance editors recognized InterContinental Hotels Group in its sixth annual ranking of the “best companies in Latin America” in various industry sectors.
“As certain that we can be that the business environment will change from year to year, we can also be certain that a select few companies will possess the qualities needed for success in the face of change,” said publisher Joseph Giarraputo.
Winners were chosen by several criteria, including revenue and profitability growth, market capitalization growth, social responsibility, percentage of revenue and employees outside the home country, technology or product breakthrough, merger and acquisition success, crisis control and aggressiveness in market building.
