Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau this week announces the official opening of the Spa du Royal at the Royal Savoy Hotel to complement its meetings and events offering.
The spa has 1,500 square metres of dedicated health and wellbeing space, including indoor and outdoor pools, vitality pools, saunas, steam rooms, several hammams, eight treatment rooms, two private spas and a 24-hour fitness facility with state of the art fitness equipment. The spa also offers a large selection of treatments for guests and a wet zone that offers exclusive services for groups and incentives.
In 2015 the main hotel, which is part of the Burgenstock Selection and Katara Hospitality Switzerland AG, opened to the public after a five year renovation, which saw a 100m Swiss Franc investment in the hotel’s facilities. The hotel houses a number of versatile event spaces with state-of-the art meeting technology and allows for a variety of corporate and business events. It offers a 1,200sqm banquet and conferencing facility, five meeting rooms, a 269sqm Salon Royal and the largest ballroom in the city of Lausanne with a 574sqm area seating up to 485 guests.
Olivier Mathieu, Congress and Meetings Manager at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau, says: “The Spa du Royal is an excellent new addition to the city and will offer a whole new dimension for our meetings and events offering with a range of spa facilities and treatments to help event professionals relax, while the hotel offers luxury accommodation for those wanting to meet in the heart of the city.”
