Lausanne Palace Hotel added to Weill’s client roster

The Lausanne Palace has 106 rooms and suites, many with extraordinary views of the city, of Lake Geneva, and the snowcapped French Alps.

NEW YORK – Switzerland’s landmark Lausanne Palace Hotel has contracted Geoffrey Weill Associates to handle its public relations and communications in North America. An exquisite Belle Époque masterpiece, the Lausanne Palace opened its doors in 1915 and sits in the center of Lausanne-Switzerland’s fourth largest city and home to the International Olympic Committee. The Lausanne Palace has long been considered the social focus of Lausanne, with its constant celebration of anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, and more. The hotel is a brief stroll from the city’s new Platform Ten Museum, Opera House, Lausanne Station and the 13th-century Nôtre-Dame Cathedral.

The Lausanne Palace has 106 rooms and suites, many with extraordinary views of the city, of Lake Geneva, and the snowcapped French Alps. The vast Coco Chanel suite was once the designer’s home, complete with racks for dozens of her shoes, as well as a panoramic terrace. The Lausanne Palace’s restaurants include the Michelin-starred La Table du Lausanne Palace, Brasserie Grand Chêne and Matcha Picchu, a Japanese-Peruvian fusion phenomenon. The hotel’s LP’s Bar offers nightly music and a terrace overlooking Lake Geneva. Both the bar and Matcha Picchu have interior tables, as well as outdoor drinking and dining on the chic Rue du Grand-Chêne. The hotel’s wellness center is home to one of the largest indoor hotel swimming pools in Europe; the spa offers a sun deck and a vast range of treatments. The Lausanne Palace also has its own vineyard, growing Merlot grapes in the heart of the city.

The Lausanne Palace is part of the Sandoz Family Foundation hotel collection, which also includes the lakeside Beau-Rivage Palace, Château d’Ouchy and Angleterre hotels, the Riffelalp in Zermatt and the Hôtel Palafitte in Neuchatel. Both the Lausanne Palace and the Beau-Rivage Palace are members of Leading Hotels of the World. WEILL has represented the Beau-Rivage Palace since 2007.
