Mandarin Oriental, New York launches bike programme

For an enhanced New York City experience, travellers can book the Central Park by Bike room package to enjoy a one-night stay in the hotel and a two-hour guided private bike tour of the iconic park.

HONG KONG – Mandarin Oriental, New York unveils its latest initiative, a bike programme designed to allow guests to explore the Big Apple while championing environmental sustainability.

In time for summer and valid year-round, guests are invited to Bike the City and leisurely explore the city attractions at their own pace with a complimentary use of a signature Specialized or Cannondale bicycle for two hours or e-bike for one hour. With hundreds of miles of bike lanes and enhanced safety regulations, it’s easy to explore NYC like a local, and get to know the scenic rivers, hilly parks, quiet neighbourhoods, and historic landmarks.

For an enhanced New York City experience, travellers can book the Central Park by Bike room package to enjoy a one-night stay in the hotel and a two-hour guided private bike tour of the iconic park.

After the bike experience, guests may opt to enjoy Central Park from a different vantage point, perhaps from the hotel’s MO Lounge which boasts floor to ceiling windows and offers a bird’s eye view of the 843 acre park and NYC skyline, or relax with a spa treatment or dip in the pool overlooking the Hudson River.

The launch of the bike programme supports Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s commitment to sustainability and provides an eco-friendly way to explore New York and its scenic landmarks. Additionally, Mandarin Oriental, New York has also implemented sustainable initiatives such as removing all single-use plastic, ensuring responsible procurement of agricultural commodities and paper, providing wooden room key cards, acquiring an electric house car, setting up an herb garden, offering locally and sustainably sourced menu items, supporting local communities through volunteer programmes, and more.
