New congress room at The Grand Hotel Principe di Pipemonte

It is capable of 250 people, and it is the largest of the hotel, which has four specific rooms: Butterfly (160 seats), Turandot and Musetta (30 seats each) and Tosca (8 seats).

VIAREGGIO (VERSILIA–TUSCANY) – The Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, a destination for business events which is well known throughout Italy and appreciated by the MICE clientele also from abroad, has adapted its specific offer by opening a new room (the “central room”) capable of up to 250 seats in its theatrestyle configuration.

The new room, on the ground floor, is part of both the Regina Restaurant and of its beautiful veranda; it allows the set-up of a fully customizable exhibition area within the veranda itself as well as in the lounge areas related to it.

It makes use of the impressive in-house technology that is among the characteristics which the congress guests appreciate the most: the hotel is equipped with high brightness video projectors, fibre-optic technology, all kinds of microphones and so many other devices that in lots of cases impact on the budget having to be outsourced, and that, instead, the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte includes in its standard MICE packages.

This new 250-seat room comes along with the other four: the Butterfly room (160 seats), the Turandot and Musetta rooms (30 seats each) and the Tosca (8 seats), in addition to the inner room of the Regina restaurant itself, providing around 30 seats. This allows big events, as well as food and beverage services for up to 250 people.

Not only MICE
The Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte released this new Mice facility at the very end of the year – 2015 – in which it got definitely acknowledged as a place of excellence in Italy for every tourist branch. After the restructuring, ended in 2004 and consolidating a prestigious international awareness over the last decade, the hotel, besides as a venue for stunning meetings and events, has emerged:

  • as a reference point for food & wine tourism, thanks to the double Michelin star issued to the Il Piccolo Principe Restaurant (shared with only 37 other restaurants in Italy), which also has two “Gambero Rosso” forks as well as the “hat” from the Guide de L’Espresso, being recognized among the best Italian Restaurants in 2015;
  • as a basis point for extraordinary incentive trips thanks to the unequalled Versilian sentiment, of which it is, for historical even more than for geographical reasons, one of the centres of gravity par excellence;
  • as a stronghold of wellness tourism thanks to the new Spa: sauna, Turkish bath, Kneipp path, aroma-chrome therapy showers and relaxation area, all preceded, if required, by treatments such as skin preparation and detoxification (gommage, scrub, exfoliation, hammam), and coordinated by a medical staff, including dermatologists, naturopaths and nutritionists, available for all interventions for which curative and not just aesthetic medicine is required.

Statement by Mr Claudio Catani, General Manager of the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte: “The doubling of our conference area is a considerable achievement, worthy peak of a decade of heavy investments in redevelopment, restructuring and training of human resources. Our hotel achieving endorsements of excellence in so many fields honours us and urges us to always do our best not only to live us up at this level but also to achieve more and more prestigious goals – in Italy as well as elsewhere“.
