niu Ridge – niu hotel in Halle takes on geometric form

The niu Ridge adopts the colours and shapes from the salt mining industry and interprets the subject in a surprisingly contemporary and urban manner.

After the agreement between the NOVUM Hotel Group and GP Papenburg Hochbau GmbH was signed in April and the opening at Riebeckplatz 10 was scheduled for mid 2019, the neighbourhood concept for the Millennial brand hotel has now been firmly established. Each niu hotel has a character that is inspired by its location, and recounts a specific story through a coordinated and innovative design concept. The theme of salt mining reveals the history of Halle anecdotally throughout the hotel, from its 186 rooms to the Living Lobby.

niu Ridge: A hotel with an edge
The niu Ridge adopts the colours and shapes from the salt mining industry and interprets the subject in a surprisingly contemporary and urban manner.

The combination of clean lines, geometric furniture, graphical patterns, flat surfaces and polygonal objects in the niu Ridge creates a timeless and highly contrasting modern atmosphere. Analogous to this, the colour palette of light natural tones forms an opposite pole and a harmonious symbiosis in gold and brass, which lends the niu Ridge a touch of class and reflect the industrial character of the town. The ground floor of the niu Ridge features a special design highlight in the form of crystalline sand under a sunken glass floor, in a creative approach to the location and its history.

The niu Ridge is not just destined to become a meeting point for globetrotters and business people: events, selected snacks and beverages and the latest technology are also sure to attract local residents.
