Plateno Collection set to showcase the vision of Alex Zheng

Plateno Group has also introduced the latest version of the Plateno Collection brand showcase, billed as the world’s only “Hotels fashion show.” According to the news, the event to be held in December promises new hotel bran innovation, fashion forward, and design hotels engagement.

Plateno Group has announced an important milestone for their corporate expansion plans in Europe. The introduction of PAI Hotels in early October, is followed by an an announcement by Alex Zheng, the Brand Architect, President and Founder of Plateno Group. The hotel group has also introduced the latest version of the Plateno Collection brand showcase, billed as the world’s only “Hotels fashion show.” According to the news, the event to be held in December promises new hotel bran innovation, fashion forward, and design hotels engagement. 

The Plateno Collection concept was introduced last year as an initiative by Zheng’s team to instigate a new motif and presence in the industry. Over the last 10 years, Plateno Group has expanded from being a typical guest satisfaction purveyor, with the introduction of budget brand 7 Days Hotels, to creating properties where creativity and fashion play paramount roles. Mr. Zheng had this to say at Plateno Collection 2016 on Plateno redefining hotels: 

In the past, when we were talking about hotel experience, we would compare functions of each brand, such as facilities and services. While now, I think we should take emotional factors into account, including value proposition and tonality. When you come to a hotel, in addition to facilities and services, you would also consider whether you have good feelings towards it and whether you match each other in style and taste.

For those unfamiliar, Alex Zheng is a Chinese billionaire noted for passion for growing travel brands. Over the last few years it was he who orchestrator of the 7 Days franchise and several other upmarket hotels. Named the "Most Innovative People of the Chinese Hotel Industry”, back in 2007, Zheng is always in the news for investing and upward motion with regard to growing business. His young Plateno company having just receieved a massive strategic investment from leading Chinese hotel group Jinjiang International, making the combined entity the 5th largest hotel group in the world. Tomasz Janczak, eCommerce Director at Plateno Europe, added this to highlight this milestone in his company’s corporate growth. 

We always saw a great potential in this demographic group, that’s why we put a lot of effort to offer our services via channels, which are the most popular among Millenials, such as WeChat, mobile APPs, and the various other on-line channels. The reaction of the market is positive, which we can see in the age structure of our Plateno Club, where more than 60% of members are those people born between 1980 and 1998.

Plateno Collection 2017, from December 9th to 11th in Guangzhou is a 3-day event that will include Members’ Day, Recruiting Day, and Investors’ Day. Plateno will invite all the elites in tourism and hospitality industry to take part in the interviews at the show, offering unique exposure opportunities. The event is publicized with in-house social media networks and channels including Wechat, Weibo, Plateno Trip APP, official Websites, and others. The event is expected to attract more than 2,000 senior investors and over 20,000 fans to the show with its direct influence reaching out to more than 100 million people.
