Residence Inn by Marriott longer-stay hotel to open in New Orleans’ central business district

New space to feature new design and balcony overlooking St. Charles Avenue Streetcar.

NEW ORLEANS – The 231-suite Residence Inn by Marriott at 360 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana is set to open this Friday, December 6 with upscale, stylish decor and a unique environment for extended-stay guests. One of the most-anticipated features of the new hotel will be its 170-foot long balcony with six 80-inch televisions overlooking the St. Charles Streetcar Line.

Located in the heart of the Central Business District just a few blocks from the French Quarter, Residence Inn offers its guests convenient access to Bourbon Street, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the Smoothie King Center, The National World War II Museum, the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas and Butterfly Garden, Lafayette Square and many other local attractions.

“We are pleased with the continued growth of Residence Inn in the New Orleans area,” said Diane Mayer, Vice President and Global Brand Manager, Residence Inn at Marriott International.

Residence Inn properties are designed as all-suite hotels that offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. The third-floor offers eight suites that have private balconies with breathtaking views of downtown New Orleans. The hotel is pet-friendly and provides guests with a business library, an extra-large fitness center, 5,075 square feet of meeting space with balcony access and convenient parking.

Designed for stays of five nights or more, each suite features a fully-equipped kitchen with a coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-sized appliances. The longer-stay guest will experience a livable, uplifting environment coupled with inviting and functional public spaces to relax or collaborate, extending the feeling of comfortable living on the road. Bar360 in the lobby lounge will serve as a place to gather with televisions, craft cocktails, local beers on tap and light fare.

Mayer went on to say, “When on the road for an extended period, our guests need space to spread out, maintain their life’s pace and restore their energy to help them maintain a healthy balance and routine while traveling. This new hotel offers them a seamless blend of modern style and functionality that allows them to settle in and thrive.”

Residence Inn rotates a wide selection of healthy choices for its free hot breakfast every day. In addition, road warriors and families alike can take advantage of the hotel’s grocery delivery service, complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour onsite food and beverage market, dry cleaning services and onsite guest laundry room.

The all-suite Residence Inn will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by St. Charles Prime Properties, LLC and managed by InterMountain Management, LLC of Monroe, Louisiana.
