Rexburg and asenticon develop a niu hotel in Potsdam Niu Amity Signing

Rainer Eschrich (HQP Projektentwicklung); David Etmenan (Novum Hospitality); Johannes G. S. Hegeman (HQP Projektentwicklung).

The planned niu hotel has 190 rooms and 80 hotel apartments.

The impressive benchmark of 40 niu projects has been surpassed! In partnership with Reggeborgh and asenticon, NOVUM Hospitality is developing a niu hotel in bustling Potsdam in an incredibly central location near the main train station. With this development, NOVUM Hospitality surpasses the benchmark of 40 niu hotels comprising more than 8,700 rooms.

Lakeside scenery, castles and parks – overnight accommodation numbers in this UNESCO World Heritage city continue to rise year on year. According to the City of Potsdam, up until September of this year alone, 2.3% more guests chose to stay overnight in the Brandenburg capital than in the comparative time period in 2016. An obviously rising trend! NOVUM Hospitality and the property developers are taking care of the increasing number of beds with niu at the Leipziger Dreieck.

The planned niu hotel has 190 rooms and 80 hotel apartments. As a result, eight niu properties are in planning as of today, offering comfortable apartments in addition to smart rooms. Our partners are planning on commencing construction in mid-2019, with the opening set for the fourth quarter of 2021. “Together with Reggeborgh and asenticon, we are pleased to surpass the 40 projects mark and furthermore to open up another greatly profitable niu location at that”, explains David Etmenan, Chief Executive Officer and Owner of NOVUM Hospitality.

Like every niu, the niu in Potsdam will tell a unique story, from the very beginning taking the guest on a journey to the stand-out features and surprising peculiarities of the state capital. But that's not all, the niu will live up to its character in many ways. From the lounge lobby to bar niu, everything open and bustling, travellers can expect to use the latest technology, enjoy sophisticated culinary snacks and drinks as well as regular events.

“The facade architecture of wolff:architekten from Berlin, which was awarded in a concurrent expert review by a panel on 11th December 2017, will be seen as a great new accent in this important area of urban development in the city,'" says Klaas Vollbrecht from the project development team of Reggeborgh and asenticon.
