RG2 Communications expands its portfolio with the addition of Lopota Lake Resort & Spa in Georgia’s Kakheti wine region

Lopota Lake Resort & Spa

Lopota Lake Resort & Spa offers guests a plethora of experiences including bird watching, quad biking, cycling, air tours, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and catamaran escapades on the Lopota Lake.

KAKHETI, GEORGIA  RG2 Communications, an international public relations and creative agency based in New York City and London founded by Ross Belfer and Grace Hitchen Hilsley, announce that it has been appointed as the official agency of record for Lopota Lake Resort & Spa in Georgia. The resort is located in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia, a rural area often referred to as the birthplace of wine, and surrounded by vast natural beauty and local villages with a hyperlocal food and wine scene.

Just a two-hour drive from the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, Lopota Lake Resort & Spa first opened in 2008 as a seven-room family hotel by Goga Maisuradze. Today, Lopota is run by Goga’s daughter Ana and sprawls across 60-hectare (148 acres), with 231 rooms and suites split across several buildings surrounding the lake, as well as seven outdoor swimming pools and one indoor, a wellness centre, forest spa and Slavic bath house, tennis courts, three restaurants and bars, a local organic farm and a horse stable yard.

The resort is an ideal destination not only for those seeking a peaceful place to rest, but for active holiday-makers looking for nature-rich adventures year round.

One of the highlights of the property is the mindfully sustainable Château Buera. Established in 2018, the chateau is home to acres of vineyards, a traditional wine cellar and a fabulous Renaissance-style palace. This distinguished place for wine lovers has a unique philosophy of winemaking, anchored upon the preservation of nature, the respect of the soil, and the symbiotic relationship that humans have with the land. Guests can relish in the ‘home-made’ qvevri wines, fermented in clay pots dug underground, with tastings curated to suit the resort’s exquisite gastronomic offering. New for June 2024, Lopota Lake Resort & Spa will welcome an entirely new wing with an additional 80 premium rooms, jazz club and an aqua park for children’s entertainment.

“We are honoured to be the official representative of a hotel of this calibre, in a destination so unique. With the resort set to launch a number of fantastic facilities and new rooms early this summer, we feel this is the perfect opportunity to create worldwide interest, ushering in a new era of travel to  what we consider to be one of the country’s premier hotels and destinations”, says RG2 Communications Co-Founder Grace Hitchen Hilsley.
