SiteMinder chosen to power online distribution for Boutique Hotel Group in UK

Twelve Malmaison hotels, described by the UK chain as ‘hotels that dare to be different’, and fourteen ‘quintessentially British’ properties belonging to sister brand, Hotel du Vin, have chosen the SiteMinder Channel Manager to automate and streamline the most powerful online distribution process.

The future online distribution of 26 boutique hotels from the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin brands in the United Kingdom will be powered by global CRS distributor, SiteMinder, following the signing of a new partnership designed to boost online revenue for the twin hotel brands.

Twelve Malmaison hotels, described by the UK chain as ‘hotels that dare to be different’, and fourteen ‘quintessentially British’ properties belonging to sister brand, Hotel du Vin, have chosen the SiteMinder Channel Manager to automate and streamline the most powerful online distribution process by connecting their Opera Central Reservation System, ORS, and Revenue Management System, IDeaS to multiple online booking channels.

Head of Sales for SiteMinder in the UK, Bernhard Ballin, said the complete, ‘holistic’ integration will facilitate strong online market growth for Malmaison Hotels and Hotel du Vin.

“By allowing SiteMinder’s Channel Manager to integrate their Opera ORS and IDeaS RMS with multiple, high-performing booking channels around the world, Malmaison and Hotel du Vin will maximise their control of online bookings and optimise online revenue,” Mr Ballin said.

“As well as distributing live room inventory from Opera and rate recommendations from IDeaS, the SiteMinder Channel Manager will automatically deliver online bookings directly back into hotels’ reservation systems,” he said. “This powerful and seamless integration will result in more efficient rate distribution, enhanced rate optimisation and the streamlining of all connections, which will be achieved via SiteMinder’s low, flat monthly rates as opposed to delivery transaction fees.
