Six Continents<.> Hotels has announced a number of promotions at senior management level in Saudi Arabia as part of a restructuring of its expanding, multi-branded hotel operations right across the Kingdom.

The move by the world`s most global hotel operator to create a new-style management and decision-making regime is geared to a dynamic Inter-Continental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn development programme in the Middle East`s wealthiest and most important business and leisure travel market.

With 19 hotels now under management in Saudi and four new hotels under development, Six Continents Hotels has many other new properties in the pipeline.

We have succeeded with what we term a multi-branding strategy in other regions, says Chris Moloney, Six Continents Hotels` newly appointed Regional Vice-President, Operations, Saudi Arabian Region. The Saudi Arabian market, with its enormous possibilities and our plans to meet those possibilities, requires such a dynamic structure.

Moloney continues as General Manager of the Inter-Continental Hotel Riyadh while also overseeing operations in Taif, Abha and Makkah.

Atieh Hamarneh, General Manager at the Minhal Holiday Inn Riyadh, becomes Regional Director, Operations, for Saudi Arabia East & Central – All Brands, and adds Inter-Continental hotels in Al Jubail and Al Ahsa, to his existing portfolio.

Bander Al Harbi becomes Regional Director for Saudi Arabia West – All Brands, while continuing as General Manager of the Jeddah Inter-Continental Hotel. In addition, he will oversee the Crowne Plaza Jeddah, the Al Salam Holiday Inn Jeddah, the Holiday Inn Yanbu, the Holiday Inn Najran, as well as the Holiday Inn Mukallah in neighbouring Yemen.

Sameer Ayouby continues as Regional Director, Operations, Makkah and Madinah and Hamad Al Rajhi remains Regional Director, Operations, for the seven Palaces managed by Six Continents Hotels in Saudi Arabia.
