Six Senses launches a new website where inspiring content and guest experiences are king

The site has a close connection with places, nature and personal emotions. Evocative, informative and user-generated content are blended into a web experience that adapts to each journey.

BANGKOK – With a brand as distinctive and industry leading as Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas, creating a new website encompassing 18 resorts and hotels, 14 partner spas and numerous residential projects (and counting) was a challenge. However, the end result reinforces the brand’s commitment to connect in new ways with inspiration-seekers, guests and travel partners. It is built with the latest technology and inspired by a creative, original and tailor-made approach to content and branding. The relaunched sixsenses.com also aims to enhance the core values, vision and unique positioning of the Six Senses brand by focusing on the user and never taking itself too seriously.

Empathetic design
The design of the site is centered on the concept of empathy, a visual and verbal communication to captivate users and take them on a personal journey of discovery. They can search for specific information about the destination or use the site to gain inspiration for their future travel ambitions. Creating a one-to-one customer experience contributes significantly to engaging people for longer on the site. This is whether they have already stayed at a Six Senses property, are planning to, or simply escaping from a dull and rainy day into the sunny skies and azure waters brought to life through the photography.

Story-inspired layout
The site has a close connection with places, nature and personal emotions. Evocative, informative and user-generated content are blended into a web experience that adapts to each journey. The structure allows both modular content and easy page navigation while ensuring a strong emotional impact, with pages that differentiate effectively between evocative, inspirational and more informative material.

We selected Swiss-based communication and branding specialist Positioner because they understand Six Senses values. The team incorporated cutting-edge functionality and used a combination of both responsive and adaptive approaches to create the best and fastest web user experience to guarantee successful navigation of the site on all devices,” said Vice President Sales and Marketing Marie Giuge Perry at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.

Best-kept local secrets
One of the heightened elements of the new website is the integration of content related to experiences. After all, experiences are one of the main reasons for traveling, whether active, cultural, spiritual or spa-oriented, and ensure that memories endure long after the final sunset. Experiences become a constant element of navigation on the site, also highlighting all the best-kept secrets that are loved by locals. Rather than regurgitate the same old travelisms, this is the opportunity to introduce fresh, first-hand editorial to the navigation, an invitation to guests to get a sense of the destination then dive in and explore what they can do.

Enhanced reservation process
To complete the new website, an enhanced and simplified booking path has been incorporated for a smoother, more continuous and faster reservation experience. Whether booking accommodation, activities or spa treatments, availability can be checked directly on sixsenses.com.
