The Diplomat Radisson SAS woos UAE corporates in Bahrain

The UAE’s growing corporate sector was recently targeted by the five-star Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain and Gulf Air

The UAE’s growing corporate sector was recently targeted by the five-star Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain and Gulf Air in a bid to drive business traffic to the Kingdom.

Seven representatives of major Dubai-based corporate companies flew to Manama with Gulf Air on a familiarisation trip aimed at showcasing the newly-renovated 246-room property which lies at the heart of the Bahraini capital’s business and diplomatic quarter.

The Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel has lots to offer corporate clients, with its newly refurbished rooms, restaurants and recently launched Business Class and Royal Club facilities as well as wireless internet services,” explained Radek Cais, General Manager, Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel.

“The hotel’s central location and the fact that it is just seven kilometres from Bahrain International Airport and five kilometres from the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre are also key benefits for corporate clientele.”

The upgraded conference and banqueting facilities at The Diplomat Radisson SAS can accommodate meetings from 10 to 1,800 and includes an expansive, state-of-the-art conference centre and six smaller syndicate rooms.

On their way to Bahrain, the seven corporate executives sampled the Gulf Air lounge at Dubai International Airport. On reaching The Diplomat Radisson SAS, the delegation was hosted to lunch at the hotel’s new Kontiki restaurant, then visited the Bahrain International Formula One Track before returning to the hotel to inspect its recently renovated rooms and restaurants. The trip back to Dubai began with a stop-off at the new Gulf Air lounge at Bahrain International Airport.

“The UAE corporate sector is a prime target for business travel to Bahrain and this trip enabled us to present our new Italian, Classic, Maritime and Royal Club Superior Rooms to an influential delegation,” said Wassim Tarabay, Director of Sales-GCC, Rezidor SAS Hospitality.

The Dubai delegation was also updated on the construction of the five-star, 15-storey extension of the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Bahrain, which is to have a dedicated spa – only the second to be housed in a luxury hotel in the country.

The new extension, due for completion by the end of next year, will boast 22,000 square metres of hotel and generously proportioned serviced apartments, which will include one, two and three-bedroomed units as well as a number of VIP penthouse suites.
