The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club captures Successful Meetings’ prestigious “Pinnacle Award”

Considered one of the most prestigious awards in the meetings industry, Successful Meetings magazine’s “Pinnacle Award” is given only to those hotels, resorts, and conference centers that represent the highest standards of excellence.

NAPLES, FL – The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has received the prestigious “Pinnacle Award” for 2014 from Successful Meetings magazine. This marks the 11th consecutive year the resort has received the honor, which recognizes the best meeting hotels, destinations, and conference centers, as determined by votes by the magazine’s readers. The award will be presented to Jason Parsons, general manager of the 319-room resort, which is Southwest Florida’s only resort directly on the beach with an on-site championship golf course, a world-class spa, and an award-winning tennis center. The 125-acre resort features 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and many beautiful outdoor venues.

Considered one of the most prestigious awards in the meetings industry, Successful Meetings magazine’s “Pinnacle Award” is given only to those hotels, resorts, and conference centers that represent the highest standards of excellence. The award is determined by votes from corporate and association meeting planners, as well as event and incentive specialists. The awarded hotels and organizations were selected for doing an outstanding job servicing their meetings, incentive travel programs, trade shows, and conventions during the previous year. The winning hotels and resorts will be recognized in Successful Meetings’ annual “Best of the Best” supplement, published in August 2014, and online.

“Receiving the prestigious Pinnacle Award for the 11th consecutive year is a great honor, reflecting what an exceptional choice The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is for meetings, conventions, incentive programs, and events,” said Parsons. “This also recognizes our entire staff for doing an outstanding job on a consistent basis, as well as our newly renovated facilities, outstanding amenities, and our unparalleled beachfront setting.”

Continually enhancing its offerings, The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club completed its latest renovations in November 2013 with the remodeling of its Gulf-front restaurant HB’s on the Gulf, which is the city of Naples’ only beachfront restaurant.

An earlier phase of renovations concluded in January 2013, which included the opening of a new Gulf-view ballroom named The Everglades Room, the complete renovation of the remaining guest rooms in the resort’s Florida Wing, and the complete renovation of the resort’s Gulf-side meeting rooms and pre-function space. This $5 million phase of improvements followed $40 million spent by the resort over the previous five years. That multi-phase project included the renovation and remodeling of the other guest rooms and suites, the renovation and expansion of The Sunset Beach Bar & Grill, and the addition (in 2010) of a beautiful new beachfront pool complex (with two new pools).

The resort offers a variety of venues for meetings and programs, including the Gulf-view Everglades Room, the 6,283-square-foot River of Grass Ballroom, the Mangrove Ballroom, and such scenic outdoor venues as the Watkins Lawn and the Ocean Lawn.

Rich in hospitality and tradition, The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has resided on the Southwest coast in Naples, Florida since 1946. Owned and operated by the Watkins family for three generations, the resort provides to its guests access to seven miles of white-sand beach, multiple dining options (including The Seminole Store that serves deli sandwiches, ice cream, and wonderful desserts), multiple bars (including the popular The Sunset Beach Bar & Grill), retail shops, a complimentary kids club, and beach rentals.

Groups and guests can experience the area by taking tours of the Everglades, Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, Corkscrew Swamp, The Botanical Gardens, or the Conservancy Nature Center. Boat and fishing trips also can be arranged at the hotel. Other leisure time activities can include Naples’ outstanding museums, theatres, and art galleries.

The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is situated just blocks from Naples’ renowned shopping districts of fashionable 5th Avenue South and historic 3rd Street South, and is located at 851 Gulf Shore Blvd. North in Naples.
