Two sun-kissed California Best Western Plus favorites receive major renovations in Pismo Beach on Highway 101

Best Western Plus Shore Cliff Lodge and Best Western Plus Shelter Cove Lodge Receive a New Look and New Facilities in Pismo Beach, CA.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – The international standard for lodging, Best Western and its Best Western Plus brand, is a beacon for travelers seeking trusted accommodations while experiencing the California auto lifestyle along Highway 101, midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

There, they will find the welcome sign of the Best Western Plus Shore Cliff Lodge and Best Western Plus Shelter Cove Lodge in Pismo Beach, California – one of the original California beach cities – to guide them to accommodation standards they know and trust.

The Shore Cliff Lodge has completed a floor-to-ceiling renovation to enhance the already stunning ocean views. Every element of its Oceanfront Building, all guest rooms, lobby and business center, as well as Fitness Room and Breakfast room, plus exterior renovations and landscaping have been updated, combining big changes and small design details.

Sister property Shelter Cove Lodge is currently under renovation to meet the high standards of Best Western, the company, and of its guests. Guest rooms are receiving the same floor-to-ceiling soft goods renovation as the Shore Cliff Lodge, with specific attention to how guests spend time in their room.  Flat screen televisions, linens, wall covering and draperies, and personally selected wall art have been installed, along with top quality carpeting, granite bathroom countertops, new sinks, fixtures, paint and artwork.

Each room includes a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker with Seattle’s Best Coffee products, upgraded Body Works bath amenities, and complimentary Wi-Fi.  The hotel’s pool, manicured grounds and access to a private California beach are a mainstay of the property and why guests return year after year.

In addition, the hotel’s brand new beautifully appointed Breakfast room offers a full complimentary breakfast including  just-cut fruits, eggs, make-your-own piping hot waffles, breakfast meats, pastries and breads, a full assortment of cereals, a variety of milk products, plus yogurt, coffee, and a variety of juices.

Owned and operated by Martin Resorts, the parent company is investing approximately $2,000,000 in these traveler-favorite hotels.

Noreen Martin-Hulburd, owner of Martin Resorts in San Luis Obispo, takes the BBest Western Plus branding and accreditation seriously. “We are so proud of our Best Western Plus hotels in Pismo Beach, which both received top honors at the company convention recently in Las Vegas,” Martin-Hubbard said. The Shore Cliff Lodge was awarded the 2012 Champion Best Western Rewards Award (the company’s guest loyalty program) and the Shore Cliff Lodge won the award for quality and customer satisfaction. Only 14 hotels out of more than 2,300 properties in the United States and Canada have received this designation.  Our international and domestic visitors know what the brand stands for and we take it a step beyond with our stunning California beach-town setting.”

Martin Resorts recently created an area guide on 101 Reasons to Exit Highway 101 on the Central Coast with Martin Resorts.  Ideas came from locals and staff who offer their favorite places to guests.
