Overall, Marriott International had the strongest performance, with five brands-Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites-ranking in the top three in their service segments.

NEW YORK – Travel buyers have spoken again. This time, identifying the highest performing brands among seven service tiers and across a dozen ratings criteria. Business Travel News announced the winners.

Four Seasons led the Luxury brands, sweeping every criteria rated by travel buyers and returning to the first-place form they maintained from 2006 to 2009 and recaptured in 2013.

Westin topped Upper-Upscale, while Hyatt Place won Upscale, with both brands improving on third-place finishes in 2014 by relying on strengths in wellness, design and modern amenities. For Upper-Midprice, Best Western Plus repeated its win from 2014, with Wingate leading the Midprice segment.

After both brands received a No. 1 ranking from J.D. Power’s North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Study earlier this year, Homewood Suites dominated every criteria rated in BTN’s Upscale Extended-Stay and Candlewood Suites was rated best of Midprice Extended-Stay for the second consecutive year.

Of all the first place finishers, only two were repeat winners from 2014. Additionally, no multi-brand company had more than one first-place finisher this year. Despite their differences, each of this year’s winners placed a high value on traveler experience and implementation of a mobile app.
