A. Asadov Architectural Studio represented conceptual project of the water-surface hotel. The Project is an alternative to the man-made islands and is offered for realization in any water area -from the city reservoirs to oceanfront. Floating hotel consists of ring membrane hanged over the water, stretched on the needles like a bicycle wheel and fastened on three supports sinking in the water. The arms structure forms a “web park” with pedestrian roads and some plants -some kind of “hanging gardens”. The case itself contains the hotel with cafes, restaurants and winter gardens. One may get inside the hotel either from the waterside (to escalate along the stand) or from the airside -by airships provided with special dock stations constructed in the case. Thus, there are two full-fledged types of rest- on the water surface (series of reservoirs with fresh and salt water) and in the air (air hotel and pleasure area). You could reach this hotel two ways -from water (by escalator along the support) or from sky- by airship (there are special mooring areas on the ring for them)
The project advantages are as follows: significantly less costs for construction against the gravel works. At this almost all the basin area under the construction is still untouched, thus improving the project ecological value. This project was presented at the “Arabia-Expo” exhibition and have attracted a great interest of Arab investors, who saw economical alternative to the expense projects of tidal islands. Construction overall dimensions: diameter -200m, height -65m.
