Held in a rotating Network destination each year and supported primarily by that destination’s corresponding DMC partner, a record-breaking number of attendees gathered this year in Milan, Italy, for a program that was meticulously crafted and operated by TERRAEVENTS.
MILAN – The DMC Network has proudly closed out another successful annual Exchange, held July 18-21 in Milan, Italy. The DMC Network, an independent consortium made up of owner-led DMCs, designs its annual Exchange program to connect meeting and event planners with certified DMC professionals from across the DMC Network for several days of destination discovery, educational immersion, and valuable networking opportunities.
Held in a rotating Network destination each year and supported primarily by that destination’s corresponding DMC partner, a record-breaking number of attendees gathered this year in Milan, Italy, for a program that was meticulously crafted and operated by TERRAEVENTS.
Highlights of this year’s program included a day trip to Lake Como, a gala dinner at Milan’s incomparable Villa Necchi Campiglio, one-on-one meetings, and keynote sessions by acclaimed Italian futurist and magician Ferdinando Buscema.
“The Exchange truly showcases the DMC Network at its best, with each year’s event continuing to surprise and delight,” said Aoife Delaney, Vice President of Business Development for the Network. “This was also the first year we took our Exchange to Europe, and that added another unique dimension that made the experience that much more special.”
TERRAEVENTS, the Network’s DMC partner that operates throughout Italy, Spain, Portugal, and France, oversaw each and every detail that built up to a memorable week for all involved. The team’s incredible talent and dedication paid off, as each day provided more “wow” moments than the last.

Apart from creating unforgettable memories in Milan and Lake Como, planners were also able to experience the breadth and reach of the DMC Network, as well as the deeply rooted knowledge and skills of the DMC professionals operating within it.
“Our Network is unique in how we work together to grow and support each other as DMC professionals,” said DMC Network Board Chair Angie Weigel, who is also the president of Destination St. Louis. “It creates a special sense of teamwork and camaraderie that’s incredible powerful, and really does benefit our clients immensely.”
More than 40 attendees carried on the destination discovery over the weekend by taking part in post-Exchange fam trips organized by TERRAEVENTS and two other DMC Network partners, INBOUND Services (operating in Germany and Austria) and Optimum Greece.
The DMC Network will reunite in-person again with a strong presence at IMEX America in October, where the team also plans to announce its 2024 Exchange destination and host DMC.
