MMGY Global acquires Lieb Management, expanding European operations

The acquisition of Lieb Management aligns with MMGY Global’s mission to innovate and deliver data-driven strategies that empower travel and hospitality businesses to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape. Combining resources and knowledge will enable MMGY Global to create an even more tailored Pan-European strategy across the travel and hospitality sectors.

KANSAS CITY, MO – MMGY Global, leading integrated marketing firm specializing in travel, tourism and hospitality, announced that it has acquired Germany-based PR and marketing firm Lieb Management, expanding the global company’s European footprint. The company will now be known as MMGY Lieb.

“MMGY Global is thrilled to partner with Lieb Management as we continue to expand our operations at a time of continued growth for both international and domestic travel activity,” said MMGY Global CEO Katie Briscoe. “This is a significant move as we strengthen global services for our client portfolio, bolstering our expertise with the investment in this team of experts specializing in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland regional markets. As with any acquisition, we look forward to working with our new colleagues to continue providing world-class integrated marketing and communications services to the global travel industry.”

MMGY Lieb offers comprehensive and custom-made services for marketing, sales, public relations and influencer relations for the tourism and MICE industries in Europe’s Dutch- and German-speaking markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands). With MMGY Lieb comes other major travel firms with a stronghold in the German-speaking market, including LMG Management, specializing in international PR, and Piroth Kommunikation, which focuses on the German-speaking European market. MMGY Lieb offers expertise and long-standing relationships with industry leaders, tour operators, travel agents, MICE agencies, corporate event planners, associates and media, and delivers long-term success and drives touristic growth for its clients.

Offering more than 35 years of experience in the field, Founder and Managing Director Ralf Lieb will remain integral to the MMGY Lieb brand. “This acquisition marks a pivotal moment for Lieb Management as we join forces with a true industry leader in travel, marketing and communications that is MMGY Global. Our shared values and mission align to create a truly connected, forward-thinking partnership,” said Lieb.

Lieb Management joins MMGY Global as its 11th acquisition, following the recent addition of Belgium-based TCI Research in June. MMGY Lieb’s offices in Munich and Rotterdam will join MMGY Global’s growing footprint, with current locations in Austin, Brussels, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York City, Paris, Washington, D.C. and Whistler. Along with the MMGY flagship brand and additional UK brands including MMGY Hills Balfour, MMGY Grifco, MMGY Travel Intelligence and MMGY TCI Research, the addition of MMGY Lieb will now better service MMGY Global clients seeking European travelers for years to come.

MMGY Global was advised on the transaction by Moore INTARIA Corporate Finance on financial matters and by Dentons Europe in Germany on legal matters. MMGY Lieb was advised on the transaction by Kanzlei Helmut Göttler on legal matters and by Frame Search e.K on tax matters.
