By recruiting Anna-Karin Werner, Stockholmsmässan will get important new expertise to enhance efforts to attract international operators and Swedish organizers to its Älvsjö venue.
Stockholmsmässan has recruited Anna-Karin Werner as Director of Congresses and Guest Events. She has been working in the hospitality and tourism industry for many years and comes most recently from Openology AB, a company of which she was co-founder and CEO. Prior to that, she worked for many years as Director of Marketing and Sales at the Sheraton Stockholm Hotel. Anna-Karin Werner will begin September 4.
“Anna-Karin is exactly what Stockholmsmässan is looking for: an experienced change management leader with a strong sales focus, who has many years’ experiences of working with international sales within meetings and events. She also has extensive experience of marketing Stockholm and Sweden as a destination. We’re really looking forward to welcoming Anna-Karin to our team,” says Camilla Hållbro, CCO Stockholmsmässan.

Stockholmsmässan is the Nordic region’s largest venue for exhibitions, congresses and events. The Congresses and Guest Events Department is responsible for all external Swedish and international events that hire premises and purchase services from Stockholmsmässan. These include all kinds of trade fairs, conferences, events, meetings, TV and movie recordings, as well as parties.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
