Nigel Patterson, a 20-year veteran of the US market, brings extensive expertise further strengthening Embraer’s commitment to the strategic North American market.

SAO JOSE DOS CAMPOS, BRAZIL – Embraer Commercial Aviation has appointed Nigel Patterson the new Vice President Sales & Marketing, and Head of Region for North America. Beginning June 1, 2023, Patterson will report the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Embraer Commercial Aviation, Martyn Holmes.

With over 20 years of sales leadership experience in North America at Airbus and Certified Aviation Services, Patterson is well respected in the industry. His sales experience boasts successful deals with major U.S. airlines including Delta Air Lines, Spirit Airlines, Virgin America, Hawaiian Airlines, and Allegiant Air.

“North America is a critical market for Embraer, where the E175 is the backbone of the regional network, with over 620 aircraft sold, and 86% market share. Embraer aircraft deliver essential connectivity to 206 airports in the US alone”, said Martyn Holmes, CCO, Embraer Commercial Aviation.

Holmes continued, “This is an exciting phase for Embraer in North America – the E175 dominates its segment, and the E2 is proving a huge success at Porter Airlines, the North American launch customer with 50 E2s set to join their fleet. With Nigel’s track record of success and remarkable leadership, we are strengthening our commitment to delivering excellence and value to our customers in the region. Nigel’s strategic insights and deep understanding of the region will be invaluable assets to our team.”

Patterson takes over from Mark Neely, who has concurrently been appointed to the global role of Vice President Freighter – Embraer Commercial Aviation.
