ATLANTA – Hotel owner, operator and developer, Hotel Equities announce Jenn Thompson has earned a promotion to Vice President of Business Development where she will oversee portfolio growth in the West. Jenn formerly served on Hotel Equities’ operations team and brings to her new role a depth of knowledge and understanding of the firm’s expertise and significant value-add generated for hotel owners.

Coming up through the ranks of operations, Jenn has operated the full spectrum of asset classes, including full, select, and independent luxury properties, spanning the major brands of Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Preferred Hotels & Resorts. An 11-time award-winning leader, including General Manager of the Year, Jenn has led the opening and acquisition of more than $500 million in premium and select assets, touching all disciplines.
A licensed multi-state CRE Broker, woven through Jenn’s experience is her passion for business strategy, development, and real estate. She honed her skills in tandem growth opportunities serving as the Director of Acquisitions & Sales for Summit Hotel Properties in advance of their IPO, and later leading acquisitions, mergers, and major renovation efforts under Interstate Hotels & Resorts. In 2020, Jenn pivoted her career toward commercial real estate in the mixed-use and retail space, supporting the business development efforts and hospitality integrations in multi-family/mixed-use assets across 13 major cities, led by Iconic Capital.
In December 2021, Jenn joined Hotel Equities as our Vice President of Operations, with a focus on our key partnerships. In this role she immersed herself in Hotel Equities’ culture and mastered the process of execution. In her new role, Jenn will meld her multi-discipline experience to elevate HE’s west coast presence as the Vice President, Business Development – West.
Jenn studied undergraduate at the University of Arizona, before completing her MBA Internationally at the University of London. Jenn and her husband reside in the Coeur D’ Alene Idaho area where they enjoy hiking, snowmobiling, and peaceful days on the lake.
