The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett completes executive team ahead of Spring opening

Seasoned professionals facilitate the opening of the four-star full-service hotel.

DULUTH, GA – The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett announced the completion of its executive team ahead of the hotel’s opening in March. With the addition of human resources, revenue strategy and finance directors, the core hotel leadership has begun to move full speed ahead towards the grand opening of Gwinnett County’s first four-star full-service hotel. Located in the premier Gas South District, the 11-story, 348-room hotel will feature 14 event rooms spanning over 27,000 square feet.

Hospitality veterans Shanetta Woods, director of human resources; Talia Sattler, director of revenue strategy; and Shirley Riggins, director of finance join the core hotel executives. These three join Mark Castriota, general manager; Heather Willett, assistant general manager; Russell Stewart, director of sales and marketing; Julie Bilecky, director of catering; Robert Bennett, executive chef; and Ashley Castillo, director of food and beverage.

Together, the team has worked tirelessly towards the grand opening of the hotel expected to open in March. The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett hotel is owned by Concord Hospitality, an award-winning hotel management and development company that consistently ranks as one of the top hoteliers in North America and is a preferred partner of Marriott International Hotels.

In addition to its vast event spaces, the new hotel will offer numerous amenities designed to enhance guests’ stay including signature wellness programs, restorative sleep features, and floor to ceiling windows to make travel an inspiring experience. Guest rooms and suites offer wellness-enhancing amenities including Westin Heavenly® Beds, high-speed Wi-Fi, 55″ Smart TVs, desks with ergonomic chairs and mini-fridges.

Guests and visitors will also be able to experience 360-degree views of the region at the hotel’s rooftop bar, Overstory. Featuring two outdoor firepits and room for friends and colleagues alike, visitors can enjoy unique beverages and small plate food offerings while taking in views of north Georgia.

The Westin Atlanta Gwinnett hotel will also feature a full-service ground-level restaurant called SweetSong Kitchen & Bar, focused on healthy, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. Additionally, the property includes a full-service Starbucks with preorder and mobile pay options, a mobile order window specifically for Gas South District guests, and outdoor seating. The hotel will also provide an indoor pool and the signature Westin WORKOUT Fitness Studios for guests.

Located in Georgia’s premier Gas South District, guests can enjoy all the events at Gas South Arena, take in a show at Gas South Theater or walk to an event at the Gas South Convention Center. Guests and visitors will also have convenient access to Greater Atlanta attractions such as the World of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium and much more just 25 minutes away.
