airBaltic to commence Edinburgh to Riga flight in June

The route is scheduled to begin on June 4 2021 and will operate on Mondays and Fridays.

airBaltic will make its arrival at Edinburgh Airport this summer with flights between the capital cities of Scotland and Latvia from June.

It’s the Latvian airline’s first route from Edinburgh and it will operate two flights per week between to Riga on an Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The route is scheduled to begin on June 4 2021 and will operate on Mondays and Fridays.

Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said: “We are always looking to add new routes and we are excited to be welcoming airBaltic to Edinburgh Airport and connecting the capital cities of Scotland and Latvia.

“We know people are eager to travel when conditions allow and we want to be able to offer some excitement through new destinations, and Riga is definitely one for people to check out and experience one  of the finest cities in the Baltics.”
