As the Public Relations Manager, Jenny David is responsible for the on-property coordination of all travel media and content creator visits, managing media and influencer inquiries, and providing public relations support for all on-property special event activations at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
JASPER AB – Marc Warwin, General Manager at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (JPL) announced the appointment of Jennifer (Jenny) David as Public Relations Manager at JPL, effective May 31, 2021.
Jenny began her career in communications in 2012 with Corus Entertainment as an On-Air Swing Announcer and was promoted shortly to the Morning Show On-Air Host. In 2014, Jenny began working for Evanov Radio Group as the Morning Show On-Air Host where she was a producer and co-hosted the Energy 106 morning show. In October of 2015, she became the Director of Marketing & Communications for the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region and the Lake Friendly Initiative where she worked with local elected leaders who recently created Manitoba’s first 30-year regional growth and servicing plan known as Plan20-50. Jennifer is joining Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge from her current role as the Principal for JD Relations which specializes in cross-cultural communications, particularly in government and Indigenous/municipal relations.
As the Public Relations Manager, Jenny is responsible for the on-property coordination of all travel media and content creator visits, managing media and influencer inquiries, and providing public relations support for all on-property special event activations at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. She will endeavor to align all PR strategies in order to stimulate and support sales initiatives and overall hotel revenue objectives, while further raising the profile of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Ms. David holds a diploma from Red River College for Creative Communications – Media Production & Public Relations. In 2008, she attended the University of Winnipeg to study Kinesiology & Exercise Science and in 2007, she completed a diploma in Para-Education at Red River College. She also holds certificates in the Essential Leadership Model and Indigenous Perspectives on Reconciliation.
Jenny is a proud Ukrainian, Mi’kmaq (Elsipogtog First Nation), and French Canadian with strong Manitoba roots, and looks forward to bringing her diverse experience to the Fairmont team. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys teaching and practicing yoga and meditation, and exploring the outdoors with her rescue dog, Lola.
Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
